Not to be confused with Pelikan or Pelgrim (near DeKonnick brewery)
Lovely old multi room pub. Surprisingly good selection of beers, including a variety of Lambics.
Upscale place with raw (“natural”) wine and a very good beer list.
New, modern craft beer bar with an interesting selection of taps. Opened June 2016.
Not here so much for it's beer selection but for it's location: right on the Grote Markt. A good place for an early bolleke of De Koninck, especially in nice weather. The name roughly translates to "rascal," "scamp," or "naughty boy" etc.
Newish pub decorated to look like an old time Belgian cafe.
Cozy corner pub with good food. Beer list seems to be constantly improving, with a few you don't see to often in Antwerp.
Bottle shop run by the Billie's Bier Kafetaria folks. Two taps for onsite drinking or growler take way.
Tap room for Antwerpse Brouw Compagnie
New modern cafe near the riverfront with a good tap list.
Corner pub near the University, this Scottish bar has over 100 whiskies. Beer selection is average. In a new location, around the corner from 't Waagstuk.
A funky corner pub in the Borgerhout district (east of Centraal Station). Lots of bicycling racing memorabilia on the walls. Nothing special in the taps but a decent bottle selection and friendly staff. I am told it is a great place to watch bicycle races on TV. Live music on Sundays.
Improved tap list and an impressive bottle list. Also a great selection of bag-in-the-box lambics.
Corner locals pub behind the cathedral. Nothing special, just a cozy brown cafe.
Combination pub and bottle shop.
The Eleventh Commandment: Eat, drink and be merry. Next to the Cathedral. The place is packed with religious statuary. Four house beers and four guests.
Down a small side street and almost unmarked, so look closely. Officially from 8pm but seems sometimes to open sooner.
Funky neighborhood place with some interesting beers.
Music cafe with some decent bottled beer. Probably not really worthy of a guide entry but being at the intersection of a number of tram lines I’ve often had a beer while waiting for a tram.
Massive beer selection including a large selection of aged beers and beers from closed breweries. Literally a "Mom and Pop" operation, service can be a bit slow when they are crowded.
Funky neighborhood cafe with a decent beer list.
Former warehouse on the now closed South Docks, 't Pakhuis is Antwerps only brewpub. Three standard beers with the occasional seasonal. Good food.
Right next to the Cathedral. Belgian bar food (pasta, omelets, croques, etc.)
Classic old pub -- newly renovated and reopened -- across from the De Koninck brewery.
Antwerp's oldest pub. Owned by DeKoninck (Duval/Mortgaat).
New place (May 2018) with a warehouse/industrial vibe. At the back of a warehouse/industrial complex. The entrance in thru what looks like a garage on Lamorinierestraat.
New bottle shop and tasting room in Antwerp Centraal Station, towards the south entrance (away from Astridplein) Bottles purchased can be consumed on site. Recently added four taps.
Small corner pub across from Gollem. Additional seating upstairs, which is good because the main room is very small. Decent lambic selection and an interesting bottle list. Food is basically snacks.
A bit hard to find, off of a small side street, but worth the effort. Extensive beer menu.
Traditional Antwerp brown cafe that had declined over the years and the closed. Reopened with more focus on beer and getting better with each visit.
Neighborhood cafe with some interesting beers on tap and a decent bottle list.
